Manchester United have finally reached an agreement with Crystal Palace over the transfer of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to reports. 1t5i4n

United have been determined to sign a right-back this summer, and Wan-Bissaka has been at the top of their list of targets. The club’s attempts at securing his signature are no secret, with a number of respected journalists constantly reporting updates about the move. With the saga having dragged on for nearly a month now, an agreement between the two clubs finally appears to have been reached.

Wan-Bissaka is said to have done his part by agreeing to personal on a long term contract worth around £80,000 a week. The deal is set to smash the British transfer record for a defender, with Palace holding out for at least £60 million for their star. United have made two bids worth significantly less and have seen both of them turned down.

The Reds also tried offer the Eagles around £30 million + performance based add-ons. However, the move was turned down as Palace are holding out for at least £50 million up front. United finally seem to have given up on trying to bargain anymore, and are ready to meet the Selhurst Park club’s demands. According to The Evening Standard, Ed Woodward and co. will hope to wrap up the move within the next 48 hours or so.

Wan-Bissaka is currently away with England’s U21s and put in an out of character performance against that saw him score an own goal. England boss Aidy Boothroyd did not attempt to dodge questions about the young defender and its it is only normal for his head to be focused on the transfer.
