Manchester United are searching for a striker and Marko Arnautovic is being considered by the club. The name has been a shock revelation to the United fans. Arnautovic is 33 years old and he has had his share of good times in the Premier League before. United have doubts over the future of Cristiano Ronaldo and Anthony Martial’s fitness has become a cause of concern.
Marko Arnautovic plays for Bologna in the top flight of Italian football. The 33-year-old striker played 34 matches for Bologna and found the net 15 times while also assisting once across all competitions (stats via transfermarkt).
He has previously played in the Premier League with Stoke City and West Ham United. However, he has not been highly prolific during his time in England but he still provides the required profile as a striker.

Nevertheless, United will still need a third striker who will be having a sporadic role in the squad. The third-choice striker will fill in the boots when the main strikers are either injured, suspended or rested. However, there is a possibility that fans will not be happy with this g. A striker is not the priority for Manchester United but g a midfielder certainly is. Moreover, fans will not be getting positive from Arnautovic as he has not been in the headlines for many years now.
Why Manchester United Should Avoid The Mistake Of g Marko Arnautovic?
There is no doubt that Manchester United do need a new striker in their squad. However, that striker should be a player with whom a contract of at least 4 years can be agreed upon. Whereas, Arnautovic being 33 years old, United can only offer him a contract of 3 or fewer years considering his age. Not to mention that he will play a sporadic role and may not be a regular player.
To add to that, Bologna are also reluctant on letting Arnautovic leave the club. The 33-year-old Austrian is their main striker and to let him leave, Bologna could ask for a sum that is more than what is required. United might actually get a better player with that amount of money as compared to g Arnautovic which looks like a panic buy for the English giants.

Manchester United were also linked with Benjamin Sesko, but the 19-year-old striker recently agreed to RB Leipzig next season, causing a setback to United’s pursuit of the talented RB Salzburg striker.
Arnautovic will have a need to back their manager if they want to be at the top again.
