French striker Alexandre lacazette who has recently lost his place in the starting lineup due to the arrival of Pierre-Emerick-Aubameyang had been forced to make do with a bit part role in a single striker setup during the last two games and has now suffered an another incredible setback right out of the blue.

With an Europa League tie scheduled this week, it had seemed clear who the preferred striker would have been but now the entire starting lineup has been thrown into chaos with his exclusion.

Gabon Internation Pierre-Emerick-Aubameyang who had featured for Borussia Dortmund in the champions League has been deemed ineligible due to UEFA regulations because Dortmund dropped into the competition, after getting knocked out the Champions League group stages leaving him ineligible to play for Arsenal in case they come up against his former club.

In such a case it had seemed alright previously with Lacazette’s availability and his current position meant he could use the Europa League to stake a claim for the starting positions with a couple of scintillating performances just like Jack Wilshere or Oliver Giroud did so some extent.

Such a bombshell by the club has left us with basically zero striking options unless are considering the one and only Danny Welback to lead the team against the likes of Napoli or Borussia Dortmund in case we do face them in the competition in the latter stages. I do not consider Welback as an option and neither should you, which means we might see the young Eddie Niketiah featuring in the competition once again. A few of our fans also agree with the Eddie of Danny idea but its sure that Arsene won’t.

Basically apart from using Lord Danny that might mean that we are left to play a false nine if the players and capabilities permit while it also means we might use Welback or Niketiah in tandem with Mikhitaryan and Ozil basically pulling all the load and the likes of Wilshere and Elneny making runs into the box to be on the receiving end of what Mikhi and Ozil might produce.

Quite a tricky position to be in but it depends on what our creative duo produce and the quality of the opposition defense on the day. We might scrape through against our this weeks opposition in the Swedish frosty lands, tougher and sterner tests await Arsenal in the Europa League if we are to win the competition to secure a place in the Champions League next season.
