Arsenal disappoint as a second bite of the Champions league cherry es them by. So the post-mortem begins. Just how did Arsenal lose so emphatically to an ordinary Chelsea side ? one that they smothered in their return meeting in the Premier League. 162461
The answer is simple, transfer window.
"I'm proud of myself. I am proud of the way I played today."
"I have done everything so I can look back and I have no regrets."

So let’s do the scores for the last and probably the most disappointing game of the season.
Cech – 3/10
And so he departs, time caught up with him but the defence didn’t help. Needed to get down earlier but slow to react when it came to the crunch.
Sokratis- 5/10
Looked ready, willing and able and gave it everything but was overrun. Koscielny and Monreal haven’t got the pace to fill in the holes anymore.
Koscielny- 3/10
Very little contribution to the game apart from an interception to stop Giroud adding to his goal tally. Probably his last performance in an Arsenal shirt.
Monreal -3/10
Been saying it for a while, he’s legs and form have gone, Arsenal need a new left back and should be looking already for one in the market.
Maitland-Niles – 6/10
Was a real threat in the first half but had to defend for all he was worth in the second half. Gave away a penalty but collectively the defence was on holiday.
Torreira- 3/10
Not at the races, looked a forlorn figure, especially after the substitution. He wasn’t alone in a shocking performance for Arsenal.
Xhaka- 3/10
Did nothing right and nothing wrong. Spent ages running around without any cutting edge or purpose. Made up the numbers.
Kolasinac- 2/10
Another no show, added very little to the left flank for Arsenal and when he did, his touch went. A squad player in emergencies.
Ozil- 1/10
Sold himself short again. Meaningless short es for the majority of his spell on the pitch. No inspiration or effort. Gets a mark of one for the temerity of claiming his wages.

Aubameyang- 3/10
A poor reflection of the striker who tormented Valencia. I would have hooked him 10 minutes into the second half. Very little to feed off from the middle or flanks but clogged a couple.
Lacazette- 6/10
God loves a trier, one certain penalty claim ignored and could have been awarded another for being strangled with his own shirt.
Poor service but tried until there was no point.
Iwobi- 6/10
Just for the goal. Looked lively, should have come on sooner for Arsenal.
Guendouzi- 4/10
Chased and ed but nothing fancy or creative. Chelsea were happy to see him come on.

Willock- 4/10
Showed flashes and should have got a goal. Little bit out of his depth given the circumstances of playing with a bunch of amateurs.
