It seems that the Gunners are like a jilted lover that has made immediate plans to date another partner with hardly a pause in between. Arsenal have apparently turned their attentions from Villa-bound Emi Buendia to Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves in a move that baffles and bewilders.
Aston Villa and Arsenal were locked in a bidding battle for Buendia, with the Gunners even going forward with a second offer after their initial one was knocked back. However, Villa seem to have tipped the scales in their favour with a substantial offer that could eventually rise to £40m including add-ons, and Arsenal, therefore, have decided to go after Ruben Neves instead.

Let’s be clear here, Neves is an exceptionally talented player who hasn’t had the opportunity to shine as often as he would have liked during a very ordinary season for his side. However, link him up with Thomas Partey and Yves Bissouma and it looks like a very decent, competitive midfield triangle.
I may be dreaming, but if we could close that Ozil departed.

There are issues in defence and unless Arteta finds a decent central pairing of, perhaps, Saliba and Gabriel instead of persisting with Mari and Holding, then Bissouma is a must. I’d then buy the creative force of the team and you can forget Odegaard, that chapter is well and truly over which is an understandable shame.
Neves could develop well within the triangle I’ve already outlined and I think we could see a much better player than we’ve already witnessed at Molineux. Neves has considerable artistic ability, intelligence, and technique combined with excellent vision, and given the right briefing and allowed a degree of artistic license, he could be the answer if he is added with Bissouma.
