With the number of days dribbling away until the season commences and the transfer window slams shut, the only done deal for Arsenal is that of Willian. It’s a staggering scenario for a team that barely limped to an 8th place finish in the Premier League.

Let’s stress at this stage that this ineptitude doesn’t include Aubameyang, but both parties urgently need to put pen to paper or risk a key player departing. Arsenal will tell you there’s no rush in the transfer market and that there’s plenty of time, but fans tend not to subscribe to that nonsense.
Arsenal are repeating past mistakes by failing to be ruthless in the transfer market. They seem to be pushing for more favourable or are waiting for the funds to roll in before they committing them in the opposite direction, which is dreadfully unhelpful for Arteta and excruciatingly painful for the Arsenal faithful.
It appears no matter who is behind the scenes, every deal takes forever and there is a genuine lack of purpose and enterprise at the club. If this is the best Edu or Vinai Venkatesham can do, then it’s simply not good enough.
