The 18-year-old winger Matchoi Djalo, who can also play as a second striker and attacking midfielder, is believed to be available in the market for around £1million.
The youngster made his debut for the Portuguese side in 2019, when he was just 16 years old, which made him the youngest player to ever feature in the Primeira Liga.
However, the U18 Portugal international has failed to live up to the expectations, making a further seven appearances.
If the move materializes, Matchoi Djalo will be expected to feature with Arsenal’s U23 squad 2w3b3y

It is not the first time that the versatile player has been linked to a switch to the Premier League. In 2019, Everton, Southampton, and Newcastle threw iring glances at him.
Even Juventus were tracking his progress but no offer came forward for Djalo.
But Arsenal will be hopeful of striking a deal for Matchoi Djalo with their Portuguese counterparts in the bid to boost the club’s reserve team.

The U23 side of the Gunners suffered badly in the last campaign, as the more established and senior players left the team to get a taste of men’s football.
The team only avoided the drop on the last day of the season. Club icon Steve Bould was relieved of his duties, just a few weeks after the end of the campaign.
Arsenal’s desire to improve their first team, while also working behind the scenes to strengthen their academy proves that the club’s hierarchy is not just pondering about short to mid-term objectives.
From the YouTube compilations, Djalo looks like a talented prospect for Arsenal. p4743
As reported earlier, the North London outfit have already acquired the services of highly-regarded center forward Mika Biereth.
Both will be hopeful of breaking into the first-team picture in a few years’ time.

It is worth pointing out that buying future prospects is a win-win situation for the club. If they make it at the top flight, then well and good.
But if they don’t, they can always be sold for a little profit, which is smart business from a financial standpoint.
Few would doubt Djalo’s ability. Even though he has hardly seen action at club level, the youngster has impressed for the youth teams of Portugal.
Arsenal will already be expected to be ahead of other suitors due to the club’s willingness to hand youngsters their due opportunities.
