After Lucas Perez going to West Ham United on a permanent transfer, Takuma Asano to Hannover 96 on loan, Chuba Akpom to PAOK Saloniki on a permanent transfer and Joel Campbell to Frosinone on a permanent transfer, on the deadline day of Italian transfer window, it seems now that another Arsenal starlet from their youth team, Stephy Mavididi, is nearing a transfer to Serie A giants Juventus.

According to Sky Sports, Juventus are closing in on a deal to sign the 20-year-old English striker on a permanent transfer. It is understood that the deal for Mavididi could be completed in the next 24 hours with the player having flown to Italy to undergo a medical with the Serie A champions.
It was also reported that the youngster will initially play for Juventus’ B team, and then will be promoted to the first team, according to his performances at the youth level.
Meanwhile, Mavididi, who never made into the senior Arsenal squad, spent time on loan at Charlton Ahtletic last term. The young Englishman had also experienced a loan spell at Preston North End previously. Moreover, the talented forward had represented England at all levels from U17 till U32.

This move could benefit both forwards, such as John-Jules and Balogun to shine for Arsenal U23 team, while Mavdidi could gain experience some vital experience with Juventus B team.
